It is a bit difficult because it is heavy. I have only had to fully cleaned it twice since February
I have bought a mini dustpan & brush to aid me
I have lined the top 2 levels with bird cage sand paper to keep their claws down so I just take the paper out & shake it into the bin & if it is soiled I replace it. I clean & rearrange their houses/food bowl/wooden logs often but the tank itself hardly gets soiled at all - & the 2 times I have cleaned it out I put it in the bath
I really love it & Im so glad I got it. When I 1st got them I had them in a Gabber cage but I could only see them if I was looking down on them, which wasn't very good! So now I can sit on the sofa & watch them zooming up & down
& I like that they have a lot of space because they don't really like coming out for cuddles
