That's what I did when he had wet tail and it really helped. Obviously you don't want to bath him as that could harm him, but wiping him down in the affected area is fine.

That's great thank you I will get right on it. I tried to wipe it off with kitchen towel but it's quite greasy so it didn't do much. Can't find any horror stories on the internet so I'm not panicking too much at the moment but I will still try to wipe some more off! I feel so silly for putting too much on!!!
