Tumour?
My hamster Ginger a couple of weeks ago woke up and I noticed he had a lump on his side and he was stumbling a little bit when he walked so I took him straight to the vet. They examined him and said it is possibly a tumour on his abdomen but gave me medicine to try in his water and some digestive paste in case it was a blockage. He has been on the medicine for just over a week and the lump is still the same size. He still cleans, eats lots and drinks but seems fed up, his ears are always down and he likes to stay in bed most of the day and night. He is about 1 1/2 years old, has anybody else had a similar experience and is there anything else I can try? The vet did say operating is an option but at his age it is a lot of money to fork out for a very risky operation.
