Imac's are really aimed at Dwarf hammies as the tubes are bar spaceing is very small, some Syrian can really struggle with the tubes. The doors are quite small and this makes it difficult to reach your hammie inside, with tame hammies that walk straight onto your hand this isn't a problem. Also you would need all least 2 exstentions for any hamster really, these can be really expensive though one can pick them up cheaper second hand or a car boot sales. Some hamsters like the differnet tubes and leavels however other really don't. I personally wouldn't get a Imac for a Syrian Hammie when there are so many other cage out there.
Have you thought about a Alexander, Alaska, Hamster Heaven or Idea Detolf (on my birthday list
)
