I do not know them and would not form an opinion based entirely on looks if it were me and I have both dwarf and Syrian hamsters (in separate cages) so do not even have a favourite type.

..I really do not think it is a decision that can be made for you I am afraid, you need to find out which one you get on with better..or maybe take them both back and spend some time finding out about hamster species and needs before deciding what to get?

They are all cute when babies but their needs differ when they grow and clearly the store you got them from was not very helpful about information if you may have ended up with two species in the same cage, not to mention a male and female!
