My girlfriend and I got two dwarf Campbell's hamsters about a month ago and decided we would let them have a litter or two.
So far the whole process is going wonderfully! There are seven babies, and they are about 8 days old now.
Here are a few pictures of the parents. Sylvi, the black and white mottled one, is the mom. Lennon, the other one, is the dad. He's such a good dad! The other day when feeding them, my girlfriend and I noticed that Sylvi was only sitting on five of the babies. We thought she had eaten two of them. It wasn't until Lennon started moving around that we realized Lennon was sitting on the other two.
Once the babies are old enough, I am going to be taking Lennon and one of the baby boys. My girlfriend is keeping Sylvi and one of the girls.
I'm really interested in seeing what colors the babies will turn out to be! I know that Sylvi is a black mottled, but does anyone know what color Lennon is??? Is he some sort of platinum? Thanks in advance!
