Thumbs down I can't believe they would say not to feed fruit!

I sometimes like to visit Yahoo Answers and answer some questions about pets. I was scrolling through the questions when I came across one about a dwarf hamster eating a banana. I clicked on it and the question said "So I gave him Literally a centimeter price of banana but is that ok? He has a huge cage made from two play pens connected with two small cages inside and 3 wheels trust me he gets a bunch if exercise. Will he get diabetes? HELP?" so I wondered why she thought it wasn't okay for them to have fruits. The answers made me even more confused, the both stated that it was fine but not to give him any more fruit. Why? Why would you think that? Fruit is part of a healthy hamster's diet!
