Summerdaze I know its really frustrating, I was like this too with my first hammy, but the cage probably is still a little small. Understandably you don't want to buy yet another cage, but it is whats best for the hammy. You are looking to give her more entertainment - a bigger cage is the best way.
Its a shame you are leaving HC, its a good forum with loads of helpful people.
And ignorance isn't bliss when it comes to pets, I'm afraid.
If you don't want to be worrying about this for your health, then pets are not for you, its unfair on the pet too.
