Yes, I agree Souffle. The animal sanctuary I work at has a huge rat problem because it's based on a field and they are opportunists. We have several feral roaming cats, and they don't seem to bother with them because we feed them real food. Remember that rats are large, and can cause quite a bit of damage to the wrong cat. And not all cats are natural born hunters, my cat hunts the rubber bands which the postman drops while hes doing his round.
