The only thing you have to be careful of with a one eyed ham is not to sneak up on them! Because they cant see you coming towards them if you're on the wrong side you can make them jump.

I dont think dwarf hams are much different to look after than syrians.
I feed my dwarfs and syrians different food but that's about it.
Oh and because the hamster you may be taking is a hybrid that means they are diabetes prone so shouldn't have too many sugary treats.
