I feed my hams like I used to feed my dogs. I feed them at 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM. I change their hard food dish or throw it throughout the cage every other day, and change their fresh food dish twice a day. They also have little hideout houses with hard food and nuggets in them. So wherever they hunt, they can find food.

Now, I have one Syrian and one dwarf. My Syrian will take some of his food (nuggets, bones, peanuts) and put them in the food dish that holds the fresh food that I will change. I think he is sharing them with me.

This way, I feel they can find whatever they feel their bodies need. Mine seem to stay healthy.
