My syrians each have bowls in their cages containing a mix, usually Hazel Hamster. But they primarily eat critter cubes/lab blocks which I scatter each evening. The mix stays for a few days because they like rummaging around in it to find certain things.

My dwarfie is pretty much the opposite - eats primarily Hazel Hamster with the occasional critter cube to gnaw on. I feed her around noon time every day and she comes out the moment she hears the food hit the bowl.
