I think guinea-pigs are really best kept where they can be allowed to graze during the day (weather permitting). My four piggies have gone to live at my parent's house for a year whilst I've had to move to a flat, as they are used to living in hutches in an outhouse and being allowed to graze in runs whenever possible. In the flat they'd have to be in indoor cages and I didn't think that would be fair on them as they were used to the good life. Plus my Dad loves them and is trying to keep them when I move to a new house with a garden in July (hmm, good luck Dad!)
