I saw a cage on the forum the other day - dont know who posted it, but the wire for the bars went down, into the plastic base - I dont know whether that would help?
My dark grey from Nooboo is the most destructive hamster - he's in a perfecto and cant do too much damage, though Ive had to block off the plastic vent, and he is still chewing the sealant inside the cage!
I'll try to find the post re the wire cage.
