He is the only hammie in the house and the Guinea pig is kept very far away from him, so I don't think it would be a scent thing. Especially because I wash my hands before and after I touch either of the little fellows
He had just jumped out of his wheel and was very much awake so I am thinking it isn't nightmares, which is good because I would hate to think he was scared
But it could have been a bug because it is such a warm summer and my room seems to attract all manner of creepy crawlies and their winged friends
Good news is that he seems perfectly fine now
It has been over 24 hours and he is acting very normally. Eating, drinking, in his wheel and begging me for mealworms
