It's really popular because it is awesome, hams eat 99% of it and it's perfectly nutritionally balanced. I give Darla my Robo (dwarf) a teaspoon each day, he pouches it all and stores it, and noms on it throughout the day. I found it pointless to give him a food bowl as it spends most of the time empty
so I give him the food on my hand every morning.
Sometimes he gets a bit of veg/pasta/noodle/fruit, but not very often, mainly because he seems to like his mix more than he does any of these "treats"
