Hi ya I think its better to just put money away just incase they have to go to the vet. Alot of ours never needed to see a vet until the end of their days came.
Its different for cats and dogs because they go out etc and need insurance ours are all insured but when it comes to small animals we just pay for them. Alot won't insure anything smaller than a rabbit.
