There is nothing quite like a horse to calm the senses. Especially with children. These look like two ponies (under 14.2 hands high). I agree with shazzy about feeding ponies in a field. Owners don`t know what`s being fed to their ponies when they are turned out and some ponies can react to foods they are not normally fed. The odd piece of carrot would be okay or a slice of apple (not a whole apple), but steer clear of bread or anything else. And never feed cut grass as this ferments in the gut.
I also agree about barbed wire. It should be banned around stock animals. That`s up to the owners or the land owner to put that right though.
