Re: When can I pick her up
When mine was little I tried sitting in a safe area with her (in this case a home made run) and let her explore. The second day I had her I just cornered her and cupped my hands gently under her, she sprang straight out but I did this 3 or 4 more times over about an hour session. I did this each day trying to build up the time and lift her gently up a little more each time. Within 10 days she was quite comfortable with me. I was very scared of being bitten and started off with gardening gloves but they seemed to scare her even more. In the end it comes down to trust, you're trusting them not to bite you but they have to trust that you aren't going to scoop them up and eat them. Makes you realise who it's more scary for really.
