Oh yes definitely - in fact I don't even remove the wheel from the Roborovski enclosures during pup rearing - this is the only species that does get to keep their wheel but then they have it at the other end of the enclosure from where they have the pups so by the time they reach the wheel to hop on any pups which have tried clinging on for a ride are dropped off and quickly carried back to the nest.
