Our vets are very expensive if I am taking the cat or dogs or even the rabbit but they do seem to keep their costs down for hamsters. I think they have a 'child's pet' special rate. I guess it is to encourage people to bring hamsters to the vet because some people wouldn't if they had to pay very much to get them treated. Taking Peaches cost me £13 last week which I thought was very reasonable.
