We know our vets well so I am not sure we might get special prices but a first visit would cost £17 plus meds then any more £8 per viisit. We do not usually take hams though as we have been lucky but have sadly had to have a few put to sleep. They do not charge for this. We had a Sunday energancy once and were charged only £12 though it would normally be about £40. Why not start a special hammy vet fund now mairaid. When you hace some spare coppers of silver pop it in the box. It will soon mount up and then you will be confident you can provide vet care if needed. You just have to resist spending it on a nice party night with your friends
If you are on limited means and were unfortunate to have a sick ham then you could take it to the PDSA with evidence that you were a student and it would be treated at a lower cost.
