Default Pet Cage Barney review

So I said ages ago I'd put up a review on this but just got round to it now...sorry!

This cage is available on the zooplus website for £79.90 but if you are an eBay addict like me you can pick it up cheaper there sometimes. I managed to get mine brand new on eBay for £18. It was on one of those zooplus sellers that sell items that have been sent back for whatever reason.

Here is the photo from zooplus :

Information on Zooplus:
Cage size:82 x 51 x 40 cm
Mesh size: 7 mm
Tray depth: 15 cm
Accessories: wooden platform, wooden ladder, wooden den (entrance 10 x 8 cm), play wheel (Ø 19 cm)
3 doors: roof: 1 door 40 x 25 cm, front: 2 doors 12 x 10 cm each

A couple pics of my Hybrid dwarf, Sprouts set up:

When I received the cage I soon found out the reason for it's return, the platform didn't fit in the wire lid, but I just sanded it down and it was fine.

I also plasti-coted the wooden platform and house for ease of cleaning.

If I'm honest I don't really use the large door on the top very often because sprout comes out the small doors and they are all I need to feed him etc. Although I think it is a great advantage if someone is taming a hamster.

The wheel is a good size but was a little stiff to use, I just kept using the silent spinner.

Pro's
Large cage
Suitable for Syrians and Dwarfs because 7mm bar spacing
Large door on top (good for taming) and 2 smaller doors on side
Comes with sturdy house and platform

Con's
A bit expensive
Large door on the top- difficult access if on shelving unit.

I think I covered everything...I bet I'll think of something else later...
