Default Adult Syrian genital discrepancies

I'm not quite sure how to word this lol, but I'm a little concerned over my Syrian's testicles.

Last night as he clambered over a toy I noticed that his back end (bum or testicles I wasnt sure) looked 'different'. I wasnt sure whether its always been like that as I dont often see him from that angle (lets face it, its not his best angle lol) but they appeared a little..well.. bald and protuding. He isnt used to being flipped over whilst I'm handling him so I tried to scruff him so i could safely flip him over but he got far too stressed so I couldnt really see well. I decided it was best to just let him settle for the night. This morning I tried to scruff him again but I didnt feel I had a good grip so I let go to try get a better grip and he twisted round and bit me so again, I decide to let him settle and try another, less stressful way later. So later, I encouraged him to walk into a clear pint glass and then blocked it off so i could look underneath. Now it's seems normal. I dont think his back end is swollen and he's eating normally, drinking normally, and energy levels seem about the same, though his sleeping pattern has changed slightly. He's up later and often still awake when I get up on a morning but I think that's quite normal for routine to change a little as it gets warmer weather.

I was wondering whether it is normal for their testicles change shape and protude sometimes more than other times, or should this be something I should take him to the vets about? I do know that last night when they looked odd, he'd just woken up. This evening he'd been up a while and had a bit of play time in the bath before I had a look.
