What sort of infection and where about sam?
Sometimes the Baytril can make them feel worse and it does affect the digestion as it kills all the good bacteria that hamsters need to digest their food properly.
You need to get some ProC probiotic (from P@H) and try and find something she will eat like porridge or babyfood and mix this in to it. Just a pinch. Only feed a teaspoon at a time. Try offering maybe soaked hamster food, tiny bits of egg and if fact anything she might take as she must eat to get well again. Metacam can make them dozy and lethargic.
It could be that is is not an infection but something else like a tumour, kidney failure or some unseen problem that is the root cause of her illness.
