As i am going to be getting a new hamster maybe in January i have started looking at cages. I really wanted to get the biggest possible cage for my hamster but i am on a budget so thats not possible but then i found this

Has anyone had this cage? Do you think a wodent wheel would fit on the shelf? I also would like to keep my hamster in my bedroom but im not sure if it would be ok because i have a table but the cage would be a little bit too big and would hang off the edge :S I could keep the cage on the floor but i read somewhere you are not meant to do that but i dont know why? Sorry for the long post but i just want to do the best for my new hammy
