[[Image:Squeak.jpg|left]]We have BIG news for Hamster Central this month! The website and the forum have been updated to newer versions. Unfortunately we had to leave behind a few features, like the user website profiles pages. Myself and my web developer Smoo decided to make the website easier for us to update and manage. A website that wouldn't require special programming hacks with the forum software each time we had to update to a new secure version. That might not make allot of sense to the not so savvy computer people, so in a nut shell, this new change will just make our lives much easier when it comes managing the website!

Luckily, the new forum version has a ton new features that I'm sure everyone will enjoy! One such feature is the ability for users to upload picture files directly to forum posts from their computers! Signatures are also back and much more. I will shortly release a tutorial explaining all the new features and how to use them.

The primary website which contains the hamster information is now using wiki software. A wiki is a collection of web pages designed to enable anyone who accesses it to contribute or modify content. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites and to power community websites. Which is precisely what we have done here. Anyone can submit an article, just see [[Q and A]]for information on how to submit content to out extensive wiki base about hamsters :)
