As the hamsters heard the countdown in their ear, they knew another year was here,

They could hear but not see the fireworks glitter, And heard the champagne cork pop off, so bitter,

but as the new year was here, they stopped their normal routine with no fear.

The hamsters stopped and stared above, The owner was looking at them with love.

Hammy new year!!! they heard her say, and they were happy all new years day.
