We built this enclosure for our hamster Humphrey over the weekend. It was a lot of fun to put together. We used the IKEA Linnmon desktops too build this.

It's a good setup! But I'd recommend doing it so your hamster can burrow which is a natural instinct.
I've done it so the whole bottom of my cage is filled with wood shavings and is at least 10cm filled so he can burrow with 709 square inches of floor space.
Good enrichment though!
