Thanks for your support. I appreciate having someone to talk to. We called vet and got her some pain meds so she is comfortable. The vet said to give her that and only bring her back if she has bad labored breathing. Vet says she will probably pass next couple days. So hopefully she passes at home comfy with us. If not we will definitely make a decision soon. Huge bummer! But we rescued her back in June and she was treated like a queen these past 7months. On another topic we tried to take her to 2-3 different "pocket pet" specialist vets but we called all 3 and none of them really wanted to help us or at least try to give us a diagnosis for what was wrong with her. Does anyone know why that is? Like we offered to pay any amount to get her checked out and they all just tried to pass us along to another vet. Are hammies super difficult to diagnose? Anyone with any info on that? I mean we kinda new she was going down hill and is probably gonna pass but would still like to know what is exactly wrong with her and if we can help her. Just some random thoughts.

Actually she is doing really good considering where she was 5 days ago. She got really really bad up until new years eve. I seriously thought she was gonna pass on Dec 31st. She was still bleeding, had loss of use of her back legs, and the worst was her breathing. Her breathing was really really bad on dec 28-dec31st. But the unbelievable happened on the morning of Jan 1st. My girlfriend got her up in the morning and the breathing issues she had completely vanished. She was still kinda week and sleeping alot but that also went away and now she is completely back to normal except for the use of her back legs. No more bleeding either(for 5 days anyway). So it was a xmas/new years miracle i guess. So now we are trying to build her a wheelchair so she can get around easier when she is awake. She can still pull herself around ok and get around but it tires her out quickly and she needs to stop and rest. But all other symptoms so far have gone away. She eats like normal, builds nest and stores food like normal, her ears are perked up again like normal. Like I said its unbelievable. We are very grateful and thanks for asking. She is treated like a queen and spoiled rotten. Hopefully I didnt count my chickens before they hatch but it looks like she might be ok.

So now after advice from couple experienced hamster owners on this forum, we decided against the wheelchair. We are just gonna let her be how she is. She still gets around ok. Thanks again for asking about her. We all appreciate it.
