Unfortunately I don't know the name of the medication but the vet should know, it helps she doesn't feel any pain.
I was feeding her by my hand the last few days because she wasn't able to walk so be sure to do that till the last moment water and food and I gave her the goat milk for hamsters it helped too

Do u mind if I ask you the timeline between when she first started loosing her hind legs and when she passed? How long did u get to spend with her?

Re: bleeding syrian hamster
about two weeks but it depends how strong is your hamster, our Jasmine was very strong and love life she was fighting till the last moment, and be prepared they might have diarrhea from the antibiotic so keep the wet tell drops ready ours had and I gave her the drops and she recovered because she was fighting.
The day we woke up and I found her not moving at all we decided to put her down so she doesn't suffer more and an hour before her appointment she passed away in my hand peacefully.

Thanks for sharing, this is so tough. Did the vet ever scan her or give her a x-ray. I need to know if its cancer or i would like to know if possible before we decide what to do. The one vet clinic we might take her said they probably won't xray/scan her but might. She doesn't seem to be in pain or that uncomfortable yet. And she is still eating pretty good. Hopefully vet tomorrow has some advice for us.

Re: bleeding syrian hamster
I took her to two different vets The first one was right yes he did X-Ray and he couldn't find anything visible for that he thought it's cancer and it will spread the other one said she is not sure and gave her anti-inflammatory so she doesn't feel pain
and she was eating well but I gave her the probiotic milk so I can boost her immune system I think it helped her, my recommendation watch her and just be sure she is not in pain and help her drink lots of water so she can flash the antibiotic, but when you see her she is not moving it's time to act, I know it's a very tough decision but you have to take it, I hope the miracle happens and she recovers

I definitely will make sure she drinks enough. We have eyes on her most of the day. More bad news, she started bleeding again tonight. Even with the 9days straight of baytril 2.2. Going back to Vet tomorrow at 4pm. Ugh. She is moving half decent tonight though and has more of a spark. Thanks again for your help and advice. I started thread on other site and had no help. But it is a tough thing to talk about and relive.

Re: bleeding syrian hamster
I hate to say it's exactly what happened to Jasmine
The bleeding stopped for a few days and then it came back
I know what's feeling I was there and I was desperate for any information.
Feel free to ask anything

Well we got a decent check up/ update from vet. Gracie hasn't lost any weight since last appt(2.5 weeks). She is still eating well and somewhat mobile. So we got some pain meds and anti-inflammatory. So hopefully she can make it through the holidays pain free and somewhat comfy and we will go from there. Vet thinks it's tumor in lady parts. So thanks again for your advice/help/concern.

We had a turn for the worse. She is now not moving much and we are hand feeding her and giving her water. Her breathing is whats worrying me the most. Its not good and she is making clicking noises. She probably won't make it next few days.
