Default First time syrian owner

So ive never had a syrian hamster only robo and never really tried to tamed him either. So ive never had a tamed hamster nor a syrian. My question is.

So i went to the petstore today to look at yhe hamster there and one of the syrian is literally so chill. When i lay myhand down flat near her she sniff my hand and climb on my hand. Not a singlebite. Does that mean she's tamed?

Not necessarily. It means that you pose no threat which is a big part in taming. I had that with my robo. I went in looking for a Syrian and came out with a roborovski.

The way I see it is any animal that comes up to you (not you go to them) has chosen you. Kind of like a match.

Breaking the fear factor in hamsters is the first major step in taming. After that it is relatively easy.

IMO, if you're going to get a hamster, get that one. It's chosen you

No but my guess is that she wants to go home with you and likes your smell.
