Haha! I've got one of them. An absolute delight when he decides to come out but everything has to be on his terms or it ain't happening.
Pickle is so handsome and his coat is just beautiful, lovely colour and so shiny.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Pickle has been quite adventurous recently. When I feed them both I leave the cage doors pushed closed but not clipped close while I go backwards and forwards with food bits. I heard a loud clang. And saw Pickle sitting in his sputnik looking cheeky - he had pushed the door open! Looked like he was thinking about jumping out as well. So he came out and had some free roaming time. He doesn't do much when he's out - he scampers along one wall and then just sits next to the filing cabinet. Then wants to go back in his cage again.
Here he is investigating a new Whimzee with some sunflower seeds stuck in it - a rather blurred one of his jack in a box thing where he pops his head up and down through the hole on top of the house. Is the coast clear. No. Shall I come out - no - yes - no - yes - done it - the human is familiar it's ok. It was a bit dark when I took these and just grabbed my phone so they're a bit blurry.

Re: Pickle's Thread
The photos are great, especially the one where Pickle pops his head out of the roof checking out who's about.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Some lovely photos of the handsome Pickle. Very amusing the way he checks and checks again before deciding to come out.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Love the photo of Pickle peeking out of the top of his house, so sweet investigating his whimzee too.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Thank you. Actually Pickle's cage is smaller than the one our other hamster is in! It's an 80cm by 50cm Savic cage. Available in Europe, and in the US - not sure about elsewhere. I have tried to set it up to have lots of enrichment and variety. Our other Syrian is in a 100cm by 50cm cage
