Re: Pickle's Thread
Pickle is growing so well and is a very handsome boy indeed. Nice weight at his age. Reminds me of someone not far from me right now although he is in bed!
Favourite photo is the third one in the donut bed.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Congratulations Serendipity on Pickle, he's a beauty and I love his colouring. I also love his cage set up. Gorgeous pics.

Re: Pickle's Thread
I think he is thinking - ooh I love this cosy donut bed! He tried to go in it head first at first but couldn't burrow down so he sort of laid over the top of it. Charlie used to curl up in his. Maybe he'll try that next time. He has used his wheel in his cage overnight (I put a treat in it and a piece of substrate on top) but I haven't seen him use it yet.

Re: Pickle's Thread
Is a donut bed for the play pen only or can hamsters have one in their cage too?

Re: Pickle's Thread
I wouldn’t put it in a cage. They could chew it and it is stuffed with something. I do find they occasionally try and chew it or pull it apart (nice soft nesting material) so it needs supervision.

Re: Pickle's Thread
I love the donut pic too. Aww at him going in head first. When they're babies they do such funny things.

Congratulations on your latest hamster. He is lovely and a relative of Newt's. How wonderful.
Look forward to seeing him each time I visit the forum!
