Re: Moo's thread
Moo came to the cage door late last night and had some sofa time He's been a bit reclusive since Pickle arrived but got back to normal again now. I noticed his fur is shinier and thicker Been giving him daily linseeds for a few weeks now. I also weighed him and he is 153g. He always feels a bit skinny but is healthy. Here he is. Some are a bit blurred! Using phone isn't great for low light photos. Should get my good camera out.
It was an interesting night! After I put Moo back in the cage I saw Pickle's head pop out of the hole in the top of his house and have a look around. Then disappear again. Then Moo's head popped out of the top of his house and he climbed out. Then Pickle's head popped up through the top of his house again. It was a bit like watching some sort of mechanical toy ha ha.

Re: Moo's thread
Thank you Ria and Alpa. Nice to see you back alpa Yes he already had that name when we adopted him and thought it suited him too so kept it!
Ria - it was so funny! Because the cages are above each other as well. I think both of them were checking if the coast was clear as had turned the lights out to go to bed but then turned it on again for something.
What I find unusual about Moo's colouring is - he is black and white - except for a large patch on his back half which is brown. So it is as if he is a black banded hamster but part brown as well!

Lovely to see Moo again and looking so well and with a healthy coat. I note the bribes on the scales!
Bobbing heads made me laugh too!

Re: Moo's thread
Moo was not impressed by the noise going on above his cage while I was trying to get the wheel into Pickle's cage. He came out and ran in his wheel very noisily and kept giving me looks.

Re: Moo's thread
I have only just found where Moo is peeing after over a month. His cage didn’t smell and he hasn’t used his potty. Had a good look round in his house tonight and he has very neatly been using a tiny back section of the labyrinth house under the top entrance. There is a lot of substrate under the house so it had been soaked up well and was ventilated! It was also a very tricky area to spot clean without extra long arms and wrists that turn 360 degrees. Anyway I managed to remove virtually all the pee’d on substrate and replace it. And put a tiny bit of the smelly stuff in his potty in the hope that he would use it as a potty. He wasn’t impressed with me making his sand tray smelly! Poor Moo walked around with his ears down while I was doing that. But the rest of his house was clean and dry and tidy so soon had the roof back on and left him in peace.

Re: Moo's thread
Serendipity,
Moo looks a very happy little Moo indeed, reading what he does when you are cleaning his house, reminds me of what Poppy does, she will sit in the crater left by the removal of her nasty bedding/substrate and glare at me, I have to physically move her to put new substrate in, she then quite often rushes back in and sniffs at it quite vigorously and then start kicking it about.
Love to hear about Pickle playing now you see me now you don't.
