Default Is she pregnant?

Hello!
I am new here and bought my female syrian named Daisy 9 days ago from pets at home.
A couple of days ago I noticed she was storing alot of food in her nest and eating more than usual
She also has lumps on the side of her body
I have attached some pictures
Is there a possibility she could be pregnant?
Thank you in advance ☺️

Hi there - yes she does look to be pregnant I'm afraid.
Pregnancy is only 16 days but she looks to be 12-15 days in those pics.
What type of cage is she in as you need to take out any small bedding areas or tubes as you don't want her giving birth in those. Also the wheel needs removed in case she gets the pups tangled on that.
She must be kept in a quiet place and not handled at all during the first 14 days. She will take care of the pups. If she does have babies then we can guide you on care of mum and babies. Just don't peep or try and poke around near her - only feed and water and leave her be as they can cull the pups.
If she does have babies I would contact the store as they are pretty good at giving extra cages and supplies to support you with rearing. I'd try and rehome them yourselves though rather than giving them back to the store. Good luck and let us know how she does. You usually hear little chirps like baby birds from the nest and the mums normally stay in there all the time for about the first 5 days so that would be a sign she had them.

Thank you Souffle!
12-15 days oh my goodness
I’m really disappointed with pets at home, I am planning on calling them tomorrow thank you!
I have the alaska cage, i have removed the card tubes and wheel.
I am wondering if it’s best to leave her alone a couple days before her giving birth incase she has already had the pups? As I usually let her out to play in the playpen when she wakes up.

yes we don't normally handle mums to be for the last few days before they have their pups. Sometimes though such young mums will deliver pups and immediate cull them - it can be due to them being too young or just the stress of recently moving home. It isn't anything to worry about and is a natural thing and mother always knows best. You may see nothing at all or maybe a smear of blood on the bedding.
Give her loads of ripped up loo roll to make a bed in and no fluffy stuff of any type won't you

Thank you she has taken the loo roll into her nest
Pets at home have given me 4 options..

1. Take her back to the store and exchange her for another hamster
2. Take her and the babies back to the store when she gives birth
3. When the babies reach 4 weeks take them to the store
4. They provide me an extra cage to separate them at 4 weeks

I can’t believe they even suggested option 1 and 2

Take the extra cage and call it a day. Ask for a tank type for pups as they can get through some bars. You could just use a large storage box for one group as a home for a few weeks till they are adopted. You actually need two cages for the pups as they need to be in male and female groups till they are at least 6 weeks old. We tend to keep ours till 7-8 weeks but if they are well grown then 6 weeks is fine to rehome them. I'm sure you will have them nice and tame so they will be in demand as lots of people are looking for hamsters now.
Don't set your heart on them as it may not work out as I said with such a young mum. If you don't have any by 17days after you got her then they are not coming I'd say. If she seems unwell also then she needs to be seen by a vet in case something isn't right. The pet store should pay for that if needed.
Good luck
