Default ~ Meet Clark ~

This is Clark. He’s a short haired Syrian hamster. He’s 1 year and 4 months old.
I adopted him when he was 2 months old.
He lives in a 120/50cm fish tank.
I’m a first time hamster owner (Had a cat for 19 years but she passed away shortly before I adopted Clark)
and I knew nothing about hamsters before I got Clark, But I knew I wanted to give him the best life I could give him, so I did my best to do as much research as I could.
He’s a very friendly, quiet hamster. At first, I was really anxious and scared about getting him tamed. I didn’t know if it was gonna work. I did everything very slowly and everything turned out perfect! He’s so friendly and calm around me
Recently Clark started losing his hair though ><

Hello and welcome to HC, Hi Clarke you are very similar to our Hamster Poppy. If he is losing his hair it may be a sign of cushings disease. Which is a hyperactive adrenal gland.

Clark is soo cute, looks like my Frigg.
Could be a disease, or the heat and moulting.
Check he's not catching his fur on anything or over-grooming a place.
