Henry is 20/21 months old now and i can't remember last time i saw him on his wheel but he's never been an active hamster and has developed some health issues.

Very funny about the salad and i wonder what she was trying to tell you, probably told you off about something.

Poppy hasn't used her wheel for ages though she sometimes sits in it like a Hamster Buddha and occasionally she rocks in it. But most times of not in her nest she is crammed into her coconut, sometimes with her butt sticking out.

Tonight Pops was up quite late, so being the nice hooman hamster slave, I let her out having concent ex to having a pic taken she promptly threw her self off the sofa onto the floor approx 18 inches, normally I catch her when she does this, but could she wait? Of course no lands on her paws rolls onto her side looks indignant at me and scoots off under the sofa. I can hear her making her characteristic little dashing runs under the sofa and out and around the lounge.
To further her outrage I weighed her tonight too, so at 20 months-is she is still a hefty 298grams though at times she looks like a small person in an oversize baggy moth eaten jumper.....
She has her normal hamster food and she has fresh veg or salad everyday, treats are either apple, pear or blueberry, a little cheese sometimes a little yoghurt, she loves cooked chicken from a roast, and duck too. She also likes a small piece of baked salmon when I cook that, I'm hoping the different proteins and omega oils the fish has will do her good it isn't harming her in anyway.

Well Poppy is still sulking after she had her cage clean last night, she refuses to come out of her coconut, I'm surprised she can move with all the bedding she has dragged in there with her...
She sticks her nose out from time to time just like a stroppy teenager....

Poppy has finally stopped sulking and has gone back to her normal house.
But she has left the biggest pile of monster size hammy poo by the coconut for me to clean up, she is so thoughtful.
