Re: Mistress Poppy
Wow, the little lady eats better than I do!! No wonder she looks amazing!
I knew roast chicken was ok, but duck and lamb is new to me. I'll have to prepare a miniature roast when I adopt a little hermeseta.
This extensive list is like a combination of skunk, sugar glider and guinea pig diets. Gosh, it's fantastic how much hamster care has come along in the past 20 years <3

Otaku,
That list was just an indication of what she has to eat, I like to make sure her diet is pretty varied for interest and her health. she seems happy enough if she doesn't like it she throws it out of her bowl.

Re: Mistress Poppy
Dear Henry,
Apologies for not corresponding sooner, but I have been busy on Hamster business, plotting my escape generally, alas I keep being thwarted by Big Paw, he is rather clever and thwarts me at every turn.
I am not impressed with him, I have come across a photo he has taken I shall included it here he calls me a " Furry Potato" but here is a photo of me and a bag of Potatoes I mean what does he think? Do I look like a Potato or any other kind of edible tuber?????

I will go now and be disgusted elsewhere,
Your Dear Friend
Poppy

Re: Mistress Poppy
She is gorgeous!! Her "potato" photo makes her look like a big girl! (Not fat, I mean a big hamster!) She is just beautiful and clearly has a favourite side for being photographed, pretty little diva! <3

Re: Mistress Poppy
My dear Poppy,
Oh Poppy, my dear, oh yes, this photo, you do look very alluring and your fur is so incredibly shiny it lights up the room, i almost reached for my Ray Bans.
You are absolutely beautiful and have no resemblance whatsoever to a potatoe! A potatoe? Really. How absurd.
I hope that Big Paw was joking when he mentioned the sprout to you or threatened you with the sprout rather.
I have been confronted with a sprout and do not ever wish to sniff one again. It's evil and tastes like poison, bitter and utterly revolting. Do keep away from the sprout, Poppy.
Whiskers nibbles on discs he calls oatcakes and crackers. They are quite tasty and crunchy.
I'm delighted to learn from your photos that you have regained your freedom. Did you finally crash the ball or bombard it with potatoes? I can imagine that they would make good missiles as long as they have not been boiled.
Peace and quiet here at the moment. What bliss. The dwarves are still underground and noisy Big Nose is quiet. Big Nose is spending a lot of time in the laundry these days making a lot of noise! She told me that i have to put up with it because she's making homes for homeless hamsters.
Have you tried a walnut yet? I found myself transported to Big Nose's desk the other day surrounded by twigs, a robin, stars, snowmen and a round man with a white beard who looked like Whiskers and a walnut. A very strange scenario indeed and then Big Nose took a photo. Whatever for i asked myself briefly before attending to more pressing matters like pouching the walnut.
Dear Poppy, i must go now and check on my hoard. I don't like to leave it unattended for too long in case one of these humans tries to steal my walnut.
With kindest regards
your friend Henry

Re: Mistress Poppy
Gave Poppy a good clean out a new nest box area also cleaned out her sand pit and put another 1.5kgs of sand in it and I was glared at with such intensity I have new pics to post but as yet can't get them off my phone as the lap top will not recognise my phone. Grrr.

Why do you not add the photos directly from your phone? I always do.
