I left it to dry in a tray by the back door (my only Sunny spot) for a couple of days, gave it a mix every so often. I've heard people suggest sticking it in the oven for a bit but I dunno about the microwave.

I didn't let it dry out completely as it goes super dusty so it's just very very slightly moist but dry enough to brush off easily.

Coco; Yeah, it was originally an easter egg but the original contents of the box didn't last two hours lol it's being used as a bin because I'm too lazy to walk old food and stray bits of hay down to the kitchen.

Rare and precious non-blurry Pico-pic <3

Aaaw, she's cute and so small! I only reckognize the Syrians and don't know what breeds all these cute little ones are. Wished I had space for one. Any chance of a photo of Pico's whole cage set up? Did you spend nights watching your hamsters to find out what they do at night and what they like to have in their cage? I keep looking at cage set up photos for inspiration and watch Henry late at night to find out what he does....aside from eating.

She's just a run of the mill hybrid but she is quite tiny, she's never managed to turn into a proper little ham ball like some hybrids do

I've added a few more things since I took this but I'm at my dad's watching Eurovision rn so can't take a new one, it's not that different.

Shelf is a DIY, she likes the shade. I honestly have no idea what she does under there. I don't necessarily watch them I just buy what I think they might like and take it out if they never use it then try something else. They're all in my bedroom so it's easy to notice.

I have wouldn't worry too much about getting a cage setup perfect, good bedding depth and enough hidey spots and youve already covered the most important bases. If Henry's just a bit of a foody I couldn't blame him, I'm that way myself lol

Haven't updated this in aaaaages. We have a new baby as of .. 6-8 weeks ago?? His name is Ragnarock and he's the tiniest fraidy cat lil bub I ever saw.

He came from an oops litter advertised on Gumtree for free and he's happy in the "spare" Samla. He will sit in my hand for snacks but is veeerry easily spooked. Extremely unlike his big sister Pico who is bomb proof.

And Jin's butt while she chuffs her face off in her favourite windowsill corner. Observe the missing wallpaper if you will

No new pics of Goose, he moves too fast these days!!

Ragnarock looks ever so content and cosy. Must be great fun to have four hamsters even though one is a stripper.
Does Jin want the wallpaper for her nest?

Stripper lol she's certainly acrobatic enough! She must be looking for tips (peanuts) when she climbs up the stem of my desk lamp

She wants to chew though the wall/ window frame to freedom. She spits the flakes of paper out onto my bed. Which I appreciate.

Thank you Schwartzie! They are all Very Good Hams. To be fair tho I mostly talk about Jin, as she is The Problem Child lol

Water bottles I have sliced a channel into a cardboard tube with a stanley knife. They work fine, it just sits on top of her nest box but can get knocked over. I will probably buy a metal water bottle holder and mount it to the side of the cage for when I go on holiday in August.

Clever idea! So glad you get to go on holiday for much needed rest! Adore your hammies!
