Re: Pip, the sweetest muffin
Here's a funny moment I shared with my Pip last night, went to scoop him up for some playtime and he had his cheeks stuffed to the point where food was falling out. He ended up spitting most of the stuff into my hand, which I kindly deposited back into his food dish for him to retrieve once playtime was over.
And to answer your question pinkpixie my dog is alright, we're getting him to the vet tomorrow. It's been a week-long mystery illness at an inconvenient time where all of the vets in the area are all booked out. Additionally inconvenient as I'm trying to bring home another dog from the humane society and that has to wait until my current dog is no longer sick. But everything ought to work out in the right time, I suppose.
Anywho here's Pip from last night:

Re: Pip, the sweetest muffin
Very cute pic of Pip! Its amazing just how much food they can cram into their cheek pouches!
Hope the vet will be able to help your dog make a speedy recovery.
It's great that you want to offer a loving home to a rescue dog. We had a rescue dog in the past and with plenty of love, patience and understanding she became a very special and important member of our family.

The cheek pics get me every time! I hope your puppy has a speedy recovery as well. It's so hard when our furbabies are sick.

Re: Pip, the sweetest muffin
Hello all, haven't updated on Pip in a while. He's doing well, I think he's gotten a little bigger and may have gained some weight although I haven't weighed him yet. He's gotten into a pretty solid, repetitive routine, and I can expect him awake at the same time every evening for playtime.
I've been pretty busy as of late with college and taking care of my dogs; I don't remember if I've mentioned but I'm in college on my way to getting my veterinary technician certification. My elderly dog, Buster, is still pretty under the weather and unfortunately has to take a small battery of medication but I'm doing my best to make him as comfortable as possible.
Wanted to share some pictures, I have some outtakes from the little photoshoot that I did the other night with Pip for the Hamster of the Month contest. He's a fast little runner when he wants to be, and is wiggly too! I soon realized that if I wanted him to sit still I would have to present him with a pretty sizeable portion of food! He ate a little of it but ended up stuffing so much of it into his cheek pouches (lol) as can be seen in the 3rd picture!

Sorry to hear that your dog Buster is still unwell, its good that he is more comfortable now though.
Good luck with studying to become a Vet Tech, helping animals is a wonderful career choice.
Lovely to see some more pics of Pip, he's a real sweetie!

Love the out-takes - especially the second one! The first one he almost looks like a painting Do to the movement. The last one - yes I have pics like that - they won't look at the camera because they're too busy scoffing ha ha.

Re: Pip, the sweetest muffin
Incidentally - if you want to embed the photos so they display - you go to the paperclip at the top (when in "Go Advanced") and select the links there and they will paste a link number in your message - then when you press send, the photos appear in the message box instead of as links at the bottom
However if the pixel size is too big they stretch the forum so they may need shrinking - in Windows it's easy - you right click on the photo and open with Paint, select "Resize", Select "pixels" rather than percent and change the number in the top box to 650 or 700. Then do "save as" - so it saves it to where you want, but keeps the original in tact. There are various apps for resizing photos on phones etc as well.
