Here's a clip from when Wonder first explored her cage in it's entirety..
Silly thing!
Wonder had her first explore in her playpen last night. She is so ridiculously energetic! And she spent all night racing round her wheel.
I was watching her run in it last night. She ran so fast, she span round within it multiple times !!
My partner has started calling her Batty Mae
Not only because of her wild behaviour, but also because of the sound she has been making. He says it sounds like she's sending out sonar!
Speaking of which,
She is currently on antibiotics and metacam to try and sort out her sniffly breathing.
I've managed to record a sound clip. Here it is as a youtube video -
Please feel free to offer any advice/information on what you think this sounds like to you or if you've had a hamster suffering with anything similar.
I will post a couple of photos from her first playtime below in a moment
After looking through my photos, I realise I don't have many that are in focus from manic playtime yesterday.
Here's just a couple snaps I have gotten so far
Congratulations Beth on your new ham Wonder Mae, she's a little beauty. I so love her colourings.
Can't play the videos as it comes up couldn't load plug-in.

I am sorry to hear that Wonder unwell with sniffly breathing I really hope the medicine helps and that there isn't anything serious. Beautiful photos of Wonder - I especially love the one of her peering out of her bedding so adorable.
Hi all, thanks again for your warm welcomes and concern for Wonder's health.
Sorry I haven't been more active on here - I've been fairly busy for the last week, but I've found time to hang out with Wonder and keep a close eye on her symptoms.
They have gradually eased off a lot. I went back to the vets today. He was also pleased with her progress but has suggested continuing with the antibiotics for another week to be totally sure.
Other than that, little Wonder is full of beans! During her waking hours she is constantly on the wheel. I'm certain she'll wear it out!!
She isn't fearful of being handled by me (if I can catch her), nor is she very interested in the presence of humans
She has nipped my partner a couple of times now. I think she's just exploring with her teeth.
She's now 85g, so she's put on nearly 10g in a week. She's got a great appetite.
Great news about Mae's progress and weight gain.
My heart melted over and over at your latest pics especially her gorgeous little face peeking out of her substrate, that nose is one very beautiful nose.
