Aww, such cute photos of your precious Liquorice! I especially love the last one after she finished stuffing her cheeks with some mealworms. She is looking at the bird in such a suspicious expression that I had to giggle. "What are you looking at?"

. She has such a gorgeous coat; I love its richness in coloring and all those amazing torte variations in colors. She is a real beauty with tons and tons of wonderful personality.

As always, her latest cage setup is awesome! You are a real pro, SKB; I know your fur baby is totally thrilled at her luck.

Thank You Serendipty7000, Coco61, cypher, pinkpixie and dreamtree1234. Her Tortie colours also stand out more in photos too - have to agree she does have beautiful colouring! Liquorice loves her mealworms she cant get enough of them.

Stuff Your Face With Pancakes!

I remembered that last year I spoilt Pumpkin to some hamster safe pancakes on pancake day – that I thought I would do the same this year as they went down well with her. So I made Liquorice Banana pancakes – and she loved them! Had a nibble then began shoving her pancake into her pouch which allowed me to take some adorable photos of her…

Then after stuffing her face she decided to pose for the camera showing off her best side (her more tortie side!)…

My softacard arrived and I’m very pleased to have substrate again for my cages. I’m really happy with it and Liquorice seems to like it too. So finally I can top up their substrate - although still not to a depth I’m happy with as she wasn’t happy with me messing with her cage so didn’t think she would appreciate me raising up every one of one of her toys . Although almost instantly she began digging in it – so think it gotten 4 paws up for her (and 3 paws out of 3 from Humbug too!). I am thinking about sticking with softacard from now on due to fitch availability issues and price rise.

Like Humbug I also decided to weigh Liquorice and she too has put on weight but only 4g – so now weighs 173g. Must be the new yummy rodipet food – she still loves every piece of it so am happy she getting a balanced diet and plus also gets a little of Humbug’s every now and then as a little treat which she loves to!

Liquorice looks to be very happy with those Pancakes. Glad the Softacard is good - I shall have to remember that as alternative Substrate next time Fitch is out of stock. I got some of the Apple coloured Kaytee Clean and Cosy and put a little bit in Newt's cage - he was not impressed and tried to bury it. I think it has a slight inky scent so will let it air before using it again.

Those pancake photos are just so funny. Liquorice looks as though she is getting bigger all round as she stuffs her cheeks with pancake.
Softacard looks interesting as an alternative to fitch when needed.

Aww, thank you so much for the sweet message, SKB. I have been missing you and everyone else on HC, too.

I totally love the pics of Liquorice gobbling up her scrumptious pancakes. I had a giggle and huge smile on my face just viewing all of those absolutely priceless pics. My favorite one is the fourth one; she looks like the most gorgeous, over-stuffed fluff, lol. She looks so ecstatic that she has such a delicious treat; wow, those pancakes even made my mouth water, lol.

. She sure is one very, VERY lucky ham. Happy belated Pancake Day to you and your little darlings. It is so evident that you all had a blast.

I'm also so pleased that the softacard worked so well for all of you, too. She looks like she is having lots of fun digging through it all. I also love the pics with her on her coconut. The pic of her posing after her pancake feast is extremely gorgeous; she is a real beauty queen.
