Re: Tazzie's Thread
Thank you all for the lovely comments, I do mean to be more active here but other things keep taking up my time!
So just a quick update on Tazzie and I will try and catch up with other threads soon. I must try and get more photos of my girl too!
Tazzie now weighs 219g! I am probably biased but I do think she is extremely pretty.
She has got wise to me tempting her into a tube when I want to catch her after playtime - I had to start putting a little piece of walnut in the tube to get her in there. But now she is getting wise to that too, and will stretch as far in as she can and try to grab the nut and shuffle back out really quickly before I can pick the tube up!
She has been alternating between sleeping behind her wheel, and sleeping in her Rodipet house over the last few weeks. I guess because I removed some peed on Fitch from her house, I think she was annoyed at that. I was a bit bothered when she started sleeping behind her wheel as it meant she was at the front corner of her cage and very exposed! I thought she would get fed up pretty quickly, especially as it meant she was disturbed every time I went in and out of my bedroom.
Anyway...as she seemed determined to stay put, I tried to make her corner more private by threading cardboard through the bars. She spent all night removing the cardboard and chewing it to bits! I ran out of cardboard and draped a throw over the end of her cage one night - yes I know this was stupid! I honestly didn't think she could get at it through the bars but when I tidied her cage up the next day, I found a piece of my throw stuffed under her cork tunnel. It was all in one piece and no kidding was about 20 inches by 6 inches. Lesson learned! I got hold of a big cardboard box and have now made a screen round the outside of the cage at that end, it makes it more private for her but is well out of reach, and safe if she did somehow get hold of it.

Re: Tazzie's Thread
Ha ha - Charlie used to do that - nab it and back out quickly. I swear he learned how to tiptoe so I couldn't tell when he'd actually got into the tube (used to hold it over his house door). She sounds a real character and a great weight!
