My ham's thread

I've been contemplating doing a thread for my two littles for a while and finally decided that i might as well as i'll get to share them & their cuteness with everyone here as well as have something (a bit like a scrapbook type thing) to look back on.

First is Kiara who i adopted first back in december after being hamsterless for a few months. I saw her on the petsathome adoption site and shortly after went and adopted her. She started off in my ikea samla bin cage but that cage wasn't really working for her as she was far too skittish with hands coming from above. She's now in a furniture diy hack cage that has sliding doors and is the tamest little girl always demanding attention.

Here's little Kai-Kai (her nickname)

Kai-Kai is a huge destroyer/chewer so most of the things in the cage will probably be destroyed in a few weeks time which is why alot of her cage items are diy's and cardboard

Next is my little Shadow-Bear who i adopted in March after seeing her on the petsathome adoption website. I have always wanted a black hamster and she was just too cute to pass up. She is still quite skittish however has recently started to come out of her shell and will now happily jump up the side of her bin when the lid is open and into my waiting hand. Both my lil's playtime is currently just them running around on top of Kiara's cage until i get a playpen sorted for them.

She assures me she can paint and always heads for the paint box but every time i tell her "no"

I'm hoping to update this thread every week or so with more cute pics and such as they grow older and we share more time together. Also sorry this post was really long, when i update next i'll try to make it shorter and maybe do one post per ham every week or few days.

I'm so glad that you decided to make a wonderful thread for your two precious hams. Kiara is so lovely and beautiful, and Shadow Bear is utterly handsome and extremely cute. I especially love Kiara's sleeping pic - it is so sweet and precious. My absolute favorite pic of Shadow Bear is his second one; he has the most priceless expression on his face and looks quite mischievous there as if he just got caught in the act, lol. In that pic, he also reminds me so much of one of my very first hamsters, the extremely beloved Lancelot (RIP), when he was a really young. I look forward to your updates on your cutie pies.

Lovely to meet Kiara and Shadow-Bear, they are both gorgeous and sound like they have quite different personalities
