Hi I just got this beautiful Syrian yesterday. I’ve been wanting a hamster for a long time and he is perfect any tips for a new hamster owner?

Yeah that’s not my hand. It’s the breeders I got him from I’m taking it slow with him

Hi and welcome to HC! Congrats on giving your gorgeous Syrian a wonderful, loving home with you. Mr. Hamlet is SO adorable, and I love his name. I'm a huge Shakespeare fan!. If you got your hamster from a breeder, you might ask them if they would suggest you to continue with interacting right away instead of having the typical waiting period given to pet shop hams. I know some HC members received their hams from breeders who spent lots of time socializing their ham pups to make taming easier for their new owners. I look forward to getting to know your cutie and seeing more pics, too. Have fun.
