Tinsel, the Winter Solstice Ham

Meet Tinsel, our winter solstice hammie that I co-own with @climber008.

Tinsel is a long haired sable banded Syrian hamster.

We adopted this little boy on December 21st, 2017. He is definitely a character who acts very differently than our other boy hamster (Kilian.)

He is full of personality and sneakiness, and he is not afraid to show some sass.

Welcome to the loving HC hamily, Tinsel!!! I know Kilian must be thrilled to have a new ham-bro to share the yummies with. Aww, I am already absolutely in love with this little darling!!! He is SO cute and handsome. He looks so cheeky and sweet. I love his coloring and his ooh so priceless expression. He is a real cutie pie and sounds like quite the hysterical character, too. I'm sure he will keep you both on your toes and have you go on plenty of fun adventures with him, too. Awesome name fitting perfectly for the date of his adoption. I love it!!!! Great pic - Hee-HEE. . . . He looks right at home among that lovely rabbit family! I look forward to getting to know all about him and seeing more amazing pics of him; I'm sure my Eros will think he fits in perfectly to be one of the Bond (007) Gang of Mischievous, Adventuresome Hams, lol. She is scurrying out of her Jimmy Dean sausage box and waving a tiny paw of "Welcome to the club!" to charming Tinsel. Give Tinsel and Kilian a bunch of cuddles for me and tell them that Eros sends her prized whisker kisses to them both, too.

He is tame with @climber008, but he and I are still working on taming.

I find he is very food motivated. I am using puffs, cheerios, mealworms, and pumpkin seeds as bonding bribes. Definitely working, we have made significant process together.

Guys! I am so happy right now. Tinsel let me pet him inside his cage today! I am soooooo happy! I can see the finish line! Do you guys feel the same way when your hammie finally lets you touch them of their own accord for the first time?
