Re: Maestro is here!
Aww, that pic of Maestro on your daughter's hand, I love it! He looks so comfortable and well that very cute face made me melt and go Aww several times.
I'm loving his new cage, WOW at the set up and so much to keep your little sweetheart entertained.

Re: Maestro is here!
I have only glimpsed him a couple of times since the move. He has put his nose out of the cork log entrance to his house when I am changing his water and putting out food and treats. So I know he is ok. Also any veg or treats put into his Sputniks have been taken. The rainbow bridge has been a bit wobbly so I have tried wedging it better in the fitch. I have also moved his new hanging treat to a position more like it used to be in.
There are paw prints in the sand in his new trixie corner tray. Nothing more!

Re: Maestro is here!
Aw sounds like he's quite happy in there. It also sounds like he's using the litter tray as a sand bath rather than a potty. I always had to move the potty to the chosen pee area with Charlie! Newt used it where I put it but maybe that's just because it was the room next to his nest Although recently he's been hoarding in it and I suspect peeing under the house! (Since it was put on legs).

Re: Maestro is here!
Thanks SKB. Maestro does seem to have settled down well in the barney cage. I have seen him out and about more than usual in the last few days. He knows he has to come to the front door for certain seed treats. The other night he came out onto my lap and I took the lid off his pumpkin seeds. He sniffed them but didn't touch them. When I put a few into my hand he then pouched them happily. I wondered if he would do the same with the sunflower hearts. Haha! No chance, I had difficulty getting the pot away from him!
I had a delivery of the Rodipet organic food for junior Syrians yesterday. Serendipity said that she had it for Newtie. That was mixed with the Harry Hamster last night and has gone down well I think.
I am now thinking about getting him a Silent Runner wheel....the WW has become a bit of a rattler when I heard it for the first time in a while.

Re: Maestro is here!
Lovely to hear he is settling in and coming to the door for treats. Newt is a little gannet. He ate a corner of a sandwich I had in my hand for stepson one night - just leaned forward and grabbed the corner! An open pot of pumpkin seeds and he climbs in and pouches the lot! Maestro sounds to have nice manners Although maybe he got carried away by the sunflower seeds!

Re: Maestro is here!
We never spoil our hammies do we???! Maestro's new Silent Runner wheel arrived this week. I swopped it with the wodent wheel just using the stand as that is heavier. Fitch on top of the wheel vanishing overnight told me he had tried it out. But it was still moving. A couple of nights ago Maestro was out earlier and used the wheel. I could understand why it was 'travelling' under the thundering onslaught of a 200 gram hamster inside.
So last night we fixed it to the bars. Luckily I had ordered the last available device to do this.
So all seems well in hamsterland and he is well settled in the barney cage now.
The WW is a good first wheel in the hamster heaven cage so it has only been put by!
