Introducing the new pups in the Hamstery
Once a year I and a breeder who started her Rust lines with my Chocolate lines trades me some pups so we can both keep our lines going yet introduce some out cross lines to keep it healthy in our lines.
This year she had likes for two of my pups while I desired three from her.
So with little ado meet
Thirza a beautiful Black Homo Poly White Dominant Spot Long Hair Girl who even has spots on her under side of her tail

Next is Amal a stunning Melanistic Yellow Homo Poly White LH who is a 1/2 brother to my Adar who went to the bridge. The simularity between the two is amazing and only the Homo Poly White is the difference between the two.

Last but not least by any means is Chibur (hebrew for Chevron).Named for the Chevron patch on his belly from his Carried Poly White Gene. Chibur is a Black Long Haired male who will be a great boost to use on my Poly White girls.

The first two pups are late 2017 pups while Chibur was the breeders keeper whom she decided to offer to a breeder since they had his lines quite heavily in their lines so felt he would do better with another breeders hamstery. He is a August 2017 baby.

They all look very adorable, it is interesting for me to see how this works and that you keep such a close eye on the possibel genetic outcomes!

Keeping and eye on the genetic outcomes came with a lot of time and work for us both. We're still working on the Homo Poly White Dominant Spots as it is quite easy to actually lose the spotted coat and cause a pure white hamster.
The ideal Homo Poly White Domspot is to get a white base coat with many solid color spots like a Dalmatian dog has. There should be some color about the ears but not too much. The spots on the body should be easily noted which on LH tends to dilute them a bit due in part to the longer white hair blending in with the black hair, and add on to that the fact most LH Black Hamsters have a smokey gray under coat too.
See the spots on my own bred SH Male ST's Sir Spots Alots
Sir Spots A Lots- adult.jpg
Sir still is not as good as we can get as he lacks color about the ears and needs more body spots.
Both me and the other breeder breed for Health and longevity and what will make for and outstanding Pet Hamster so Temperament is also one of the top goals for us. Sir Spots A Lots Grand Dam on his Dam's side will be celebrating her 2 year B-day in 2 months, and his Great grand dam on his Sire's side just had her final litter at 18 months old (Amal is her son).
