Unhappy My Bad Hammy

Hey i just made this account because i had problems about my hammy.
I got my hamster few months ago from my cousin because he didnt want it anymore, he told me that the hamster always bites and never lets you touch him but i said its fine and took it, i have been looking after it for months now but it always bites and never lets me touch or anything; if he sees my finger he trys biting. I have tried once to get it used to me but it ended up biting so overall my hamster is weird and just 1 in a million. These days though he looks upset and just ill, i cant help him because it keeps attacking. I dont know what to do, today when i woke up for college i tried tapping the cage because he didnt move or anything, i opened his cage touched him a little but there was still no movement; i thought it was going to die. I came back from college but now it is moving again but just looks ill. I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO. My hamster does not like anyone and is always grumpy. i dont think there is any help for him, he will die lonely and i feel sad but if anyone can help me, i will check here often for some comments. i feel bad.

It sounds like he is grumpy because he is feeling ill. I would take him to be seen by a vet because he really doesn't sound well. They vets will be able to examine him and advise you hopefully. I hope he can be helped.

Like souffle said I do really recommend taking your hammy to the vet. In the mean time research different taming methods and make sure to take everything very slowly and don't rush anything.

I had a hamster along time ago who would attack. I learnt to work around the biting. I would let her climb into an exercise ball and then let her out into a box. This way I could clean her tank etc.

I stopped trying to stroke/tame her in the end and just enjoyed watching her.
